Tide's End Farm's horse and riding programs are different in many ways. We are based in dressage and eventing, but teach people from all disciplines, all levels and all ages. Our lessons are for riders staying with us, those who come in for a day and for local clients that come on a regular basis. What makes us truly unique, is our ability to customize the program that is right for you, whether it be one lesson or a week with us. All instruction is given by instructor Liia Becker. Liia has passed the ARICP standards for Advanced Level III in the disciplines of Eventing and Dressage. A believer in strong basics, Liia covers work on the ground and mounted in a safe, fun and complete program, that results in horse people, not just riders.
We specialize in personalized riding instruction to meet individuals' requirements and goals. We integrate stable management and psychological exercises for those that desire a little more of a "whole" riding experience. Lessons given on either your own horse or one of our quality school horses, which many are the critically endangered breed, the Cleveland Bay. To ride one is to fall in love with them! They all have the ability to properly give the rider a good understanding of riding basics and beyond. Emphasis is on creating a fun and harmonious relationship between horse and rider, no matter whether your goals are in the competitive field or in pleasure riding. We enjoy using creative and fun exercises to improve riders' skills on the flat and over fences.
We teach only private riding lessons at this time. Half hour lessons are only available for children. We do have hands on grooming and horse care lessons for people more interested in staying on the ground.
1 hour private(riding) $70
1/2 hour private(riding) $35
1 hour horse care(non-riding) $25
"Tide's End Farm offers a women's retreat that is a welcome getaway from high-stress jobs, relationships, kids and life. Becker sees more women taking time for themselves to come to the farm and enjoy all that the program has to offer, and in the process nurturing themselves through their relationship with the horse....Becker's integrated approach, which helps address both the mind and body, helps create a meaningful, worthwhile experience for all participants."
